Bus routes will be marked in yellow, trolleybus routes in blue and tram routes in red
Early in August „Rīgas satiksme” started visual changes in the colours of public transport routes. Now at public transport stops and on the company’s website bus routes will be marked in yellow, trolleybus routes in blue and tram routes in red. These changes are being considering the marking of public transport routes in the past, the examples of other European states as well as clients’ proposals.
These changes will not affect the colours of minibus and night transport routes, which will be marked in violet and black respectively, like before.
„Rīgas satiksme” provides public transport services on 81 routes, of which 53 are bus routes, 19 are trolleybus routes and 9 are tram routes. In Riga and its suburbs the company serves passengers at 1887 public transport stops, including 275 bus stops, 381 trolleybus stops and 231 tram stops.
We call on passengers to show an understanding attitude to these changes until improvements at public transport stops are completed!
